Int'l Mediawave festival to offer music, film, dance in W Hungary
This year's international Mediawave festival in Szombathely will offer music, dance and film events together with workshops between April 30 and May 8, the festival director told MTI on Saturday.
The international music programme on the festival's first weekend will include the Terrakota Afro-Beat band from Portugal and the Sonambulo group from Costa Rica, said Jeno Hartyandi.
At the same weekend a nine-day international workshop will also start in in moviemaking, photography, music and literary criticism, he said.
The second weekend will feature film events and related conferences, while the third weekend will be dedicated to jazz programmes.
In addition to the festival, open-air concerts and cultural events will also be held at the meeting point of the Hungarian-Austrian-Slovenian border on May 16.
