Hungarian A/H1N1 vaccine now available to foreigners
The Hungarian-made A/H1N1 vaccine may also be sold to foreign citizens, the Health Ministry told MTI on Monday.
Unlike Slovakia, Hungary does not plan to seal its borders with Ukraine, the ministry added.
Head of the Hungarian Chamber of Pharmacists Tamas Horvath confirmed to MTI that Hungarian pharmacies are allowed to sell drugs against a valid prescription even if it had been issued in foreign countries including Ukraine or Slovakia.
Horvath added that pharmacies sell the new flu vaccine at market price, it is not subsidised, therefore the health insurance fund will not suffer any losses.
