I agree with you, but after going through all the hassles of getting a Residency Permit with the laws changing continually during the three annual Visa years prior, it would be impossible to keep up-to-date. What would be needed is an Immigration attorney to donate their time to keep us informed. I for one would be interested in knowing the changes if we found out what they were. |

This forum needs a Visa, Permit, Relocation Issues category, as I think as time goes by, there will be plenty of queries on these issues. Especially, since a lot of these laws are in the process of changing in Hungary and across the EU at the moment. For example, by 30 April 2006 (this year), EU citizens no longer need Residence Permits in other EU States. They may have to register after 3 months, but that's different. Also, non-EU citizens (Americans and the like) will be eligible for certain residence rights from this year which they didn't have before. What about it? Would be nice to have all this neatly stored under one clearly identified category? |
