The story of Rebeka Koncz has moved me deeply and the tragic ending was hihgly disturbing. I knew the family personally and also spoke with Rebeka less then two months ago. I knew the family because I purchased a vehicle from them in November. When I spoke with Rebeka she was the most vibrant and positive little girl I've ever met. She was also amazingly cute. When I recognized her and her family on TV, I couldn't belive that this is the same girl, whose room I was sitting in just recently. I refused to believe that she won't make and followed the news frantically day in-day out. Her sudden death was a real shocker and a slap in the face. Life is so unjust sometimes.

Sorry if you feel we don't do enough follow-up, Humphrey. We have, this week, follow-ups on the poor four-year-old who sadly died, the FT/Fidesz saga, the Magyar Viszla foolishness, the budget deficit, party campaigning etc. We do try to make sure we follow-up the articles, but, as I say, we're sorry if we've missed some. (Best not to raise this issue with our finance guys, as our following-up on the Hungarian drug dealers in Equador has cost us a small fortune in phone bills over the months :-) |

Thank you for following up on the story of the little girl with the liver transplant. To bad, it had such a sad ending but at least I know what happened. The Budapest Sun never follows up on a story and it is aggravating.
