Book Launch: Climate Change for Football Fans by James Atkins
When: Thursday, 23 September 2010 19:30Where: Treehugger Dan's Bookstore-Lounge / Discover Budapest
What: Literary events, Free
"CCFFF is about Joe, a working class lad from Burnley who is mad on Burnley FC but he can't see why you'd bother worrying about climate change; and a Professor who is really into climate change policy but can't understand why 22 men would put on short trousers and canter around after a ball. They agree to spend the season together; the Prof goes to all the Burnley games and Joe listens to the Prof natter on about climate change policy. It is a vehicle for discussing climate policy in an entertaining and digestible way. The book is both green and very politically incorrect. James Atkins is Chairman of Vertis Environmental Finance, an emissions trading firm based in Budapest. He has lived in Budapest for 15 years."
