"An Unconventional, Slovakian – Hungarian Exhibition at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in the name of the borderless free thinking
In 28 January 2010 at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Barcsay Hall will be opened the university’s latest painting exhibition with the title „Parellels”. The exhibition is organized with the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava. The essences of this event are the way how the two nations think alike and how their minds cover each other. The exhibition is open from 28 January till 12 February 2010.
There will be 30 students from the two institutions who tries to dig up and show the thoughts and feelings of this generation’s young artists. The students bring imaginations from the traditional and pop culture scopes with individual and witty results. Their method is free of inhibition, it is loose, what ever thechnics we mention among strict shapes, playing with colours or utopistical visions.
The salons’ idea and realization was by Eszter Radák, reader of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and Iván Csudai, professor of the Acedemy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava. The exhibition will be led off by Frigyes Kőnig, rector of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and Karol Weisslechner , rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design.
The exhibition can be seen between 28 January and 12 February, on week days 10am – 6pm,on Saturday 10am – 1pm in the university’s Barcsay Hall."
