Notes: The Zsolnay Ceramics Factory was established in 1865 by Vilmos Zsolnay who worked with chemist Vince Wartha to create Zsolnay's trademark, irridescent, metallic "eosin" glaze. The museum features decorative Zsolnay ceramic tiles, vases, jugs and plaques, many in the Hungarian Art Nouveau style for which Zsolnay is most famous. The building of the museum is also interesting, as it is the city's oldest residential building, first mentioned in a written document in 1324. It bears style elements from every architecture style that was once used in Hungary, including Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
