My meal looked like greasy reheated buffet food, but it actually tasted good, which suggests at some point in its life it was a fresh, tasty dish. If you like re-fried Chinese food that's been hanging around half the day, then this is a good place. It's a bit overpriced for the quality, though.

If you are looking for a restaurant that is a step up from the Chinese gyors bűfé, this is it. Unfortunately it is only one step up. The menu is extensive but not particularly varied, and the preparation and presentation are quite ordinary. If you really like Chinese food you will do better buying the ingredients at Culinaris and cooking them yourself.

As its name implies (at least to Hungarian-speakers), Új Lanzhou is the new venture of the people who brought us Lanzhou, one of our favorite local Chinese eateries. While some staff at Új Lanzhou have confided to us that its cuisine isn't actually as genuinely lanzhoui as the original, we still like it an awful lot, not least because it is in a part of Buda without many decent Kínai offerings. It is also slightly more ritzy and comfy than the old Lanzhou, in the off chance that this is what you are looking for in a Chinese restaurant.
