Notes: Built by Royal decree in an opulent Baroque style that must have been provocative to a puritanical Calvinist aesthetic, St Anne’s was in fact the first Catholic church to be constructed in Debrecen in over two centuries. Constructed in the mid 1700s, its interior décor is pure rococo.
