We have been to this restaurant at least 15 times the last 10 months and the average is higher compared to any other Restaurant we have tried in Budapest. Very high lowest level with some excellent top performers. Beside the food they have very service minded staff.

When it was last featured on our list of the Top 33 Restaurants in Budapest, here is what we had to say about Matteo: "One of Budapest's better Med specialists, in an intriguing location in a Bauhaus bus terminal in Buda. The very stylish interior is slightly marred by fluorescent lighting (the columns are cool, but switch to incandescent!) and one credible critic we know recently demanded it be expelled from the Top 33. For now, however, it holds its place." Alas, in the end, it did not.
