Starters: Recommend the wings or the blackbean soup.
Main: NY Strip, 2 kinds of fries, grilled vegetables and chimichuri sauce.
House red wine.
You can only go wrong if you stray from the simple steaks. It's not cheap though.

2 of the 3 meats were over cooked
the asparagus was a disaster
but the waiter took care of bringing properly cooked meat when I asked
didnt even say anything about the other because what was the point
the chef should have been slapped for the sparga, a child could have cooked better

Steaks are very good, slightly snobby waiting staff, but overall a fair experience, but not for people on a tight budget.
One thing that let down the evening were the frozen chips, rries and onion rings they serve with the main dishes. Bit lazy and spoils an otherwise good meal!

I went there with some huge steak fans and we were all extremely satisfied. The steaks were excellent, the sides were exceptional and the service was outstanding - I can't help but talk about the restaurant in superlatives.
We stayed for dessert and we tried "Torta de Dulce de Leche" which was absolutely amazing.
Seriously, I can't remember the last time i was this much satisfied with a restaurant (anywhere around the world).

I've been there twice first was excellent just a few months after opening... the second was entirely different, the steak was still good, but the side dishes, the salads were a complete disastro! At this price level fries and salads from plastic bags are not acceptable! And the waiters should look after the tables instead of chatting at the bar!

Went to Pampas tonight. Looked empty, but there is a non-smoking back room. The room was nice and the wall colors warm. We decided not to have a full starter, so we had a mixed green salad with Roquefort dressing. The salad was not the freshest one, but the cheese dressing was tasty. Now, as we came with a serious steak craving, we went for a medium portion of tenderloin and a large portion of NY strip. We choose jacket potato and steamed asparagus as side dishes. The tenderloin was superb. Soft, juicy, melting in your mouth and done to perfection (my wife had it "medium"). I had a NY strip and it was delicious - juicy and with a thin strip of fat on the side. It was grilled really nicely. You could see the traces of the actual griddle. Jacket potato was nice, while asparagus a bit bland.
We shared a bottle of Rosemount Shiraz Diamond Label with this meal. The wine was very smooth, with a nice peppery finish and a bit of tannins on the tongue.
The desert we had (chocolate mousse) was not something we would have there again. It was cool and had its top layer a bit dehydrated and rubbery.
If you want a steak in Budapest, go to this place. Definitely.

Well, we went there in November and I have to say it was the best steak I have had in years, we went around lunch time there were several tables in there with a group also, we were seated immediately, the waiter was attentive but not in your face, I like them there when I need them but no where to be seen when I don't and they had it perfectly. If you are ever travelling to Budapest this is a must if you love steak!! Or if you want a reasonably priced GOOD meal!! Excellent location, near the underground and within walking distance!
