I've eaten there twice and have resisted going back because I didn't want to get into a rut. I never thought of it as a theme restaurant, but just some good Belgian food and a great selection of Belgian beer. (not the largest though) They do have a non-smoking area that's quiet, but is too out of the way for my liking. If you do sit in the smoking area, watch out because their ventilation from the kitchen isn't so good. I came out of the restaurant smelling of garlic and oil. Not the worst smell, but I didn't feel like having a shower afterwords with a nice fuzzy Belgian beer buzz. The food itself is fine, and one can find good entrees for those persnickety eaters that aren't into "exotic" food. I will be hitting this place up again, primarily because I love Belgian beer and their atmosphere and food are a bit more to my liking that the other Belgian brasseries in the city.

A rather striking reproduction of a Belgian brasserie in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Pest, Mosselen is a well-known staple for local beer connoisseurs and younger business-types. Aside from the lakes of reasonably-priced specialty beers and lowland culinary favorites, the whole package works, and even has fans among the kind of people who normally turn their noses up at theme restaurants.
