chef is definitely a character. He came out to our table and chided us over our indecisiveness over the menu. But my friend liked her meal, and my duck salad was superb. Light and slightly sweet and fruity without being saccharine and overdone.

Surely, one of the best restaurants in Budapest. In addition to the food and decor, the restaurant's friendly atmosphere enables it to stand out. The restaurant is located between two bars. Employees from all three establishments have close ties, thus creating a very open setting for meeting the locals, as well as developing friendships. This establishment is very courteous and open to meeting expats and foreign travelers. The manager of M etterem is named Gyuri. He is a big-hearted individual who becomes overwhelmed with joy as customers express their happiness and satisfaction with the restaurant.

Always enjoy this place and haven't had any of the 'sht' nights of others. Last time I was there (two days ago), the menu was new that day, full of fresh ingrediants, the food was tasty, and the waiter was kind and made solid wine recommendations. A great experience.

I love it that a place like M can exist in a city like this - daily menus, fresh ingredients and fun/friendly service in a town of overpriced, pompous food. Hat's off to M.
