The Lehel market was rebuilt to be a space station couple years age. You can find anything you want except for fresh salt water fish - not a BP speciality. Good cheese shop (Tejes Katica) in the second floor. Meat is always fresh, and bouchers help you what to and how to cook from what you buy.

Not as big and lacking that "old world charm" of the Fovam, never the less, my Hungarian friends find that the Lehel ter market consistently has better quality -- and less expensive -- products. Also, by the way -- HUGE PLUS -- they are the only market open on Sundays. (The hours above don't note this.)
