We ate here on cold Thursday night last December. We were the only patrons, or more accurately, victims of one of the worst, over priced meals I've had in Budapest. Despite the other reviews that favour this place, I'll never waste my money there again. Lousy food, sloppy service and wine by the glass that was at least two days old, yet cost 2500Ft and the waiter refused point blank to replace it. Never again!

I've noticed "Robi" on a number of reviews on here - unsurprisingly, every single one is negative, although the lack of any actual detail makes it fairly self-evident the moron is trolling.

I've been to this restaurant several times - sure, it's not low budget but if you want low-budget then I suggest sticking to burger king.

the food is fantastic and they usually have a piano player to entertain while you dine, no complaints from me whatsoever, a lovely place.

After the previous comments of year 2006 I expected more than I found. Had goose and it was good and fresh, but not really fantastic. Service was okay. I think on better places to spend overvalued food.

I'm a Hungarian lives in NYC. Whenever I go home I visit this "dining heaven" and enjoy the classic selection of traditional Hungarian cuisine. It's just a perfect place hidden from noisy tourist groups.

If you like meat, especially game, then come here. It's well worth the trip out of town. Tram 2 from anywhere on the Pest side of the river upto Margaret Bridge. Cross over the bridge and catch tram 17 to PODOLIN UTCA. Excellent levels of service and the food was fantastic. Not the cheapest place in town - our meal of 3 courses + wine for 2 persons cost 22,000 Huf plus tips but it would have cost twice that back in the UK for the same quality food.

Excellent. We picked up this restaurant thanks to Pestiside.hu Top 33 review, and made quite a long trip to find it on a New Year's eve. Although the entire place was booked for the night, we were kindly welcome to a table since it was only about 6PM and we were not going to stay long. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their meal and the wine was also great. No surprise this restaurant was chosen the best in Budapest for so many years. Absolutely recommended.

The more fetching and talented sister restaurant of Remiz, the "pearl of little Buda" is a deservedly beloved bastion of traditional and up-to-date Hungarian cuisine served in absolutely charming surroundings. Usually offers game and several set multi-course options, as well as relaxing piano music. Well worth the trip to Óbuda, and it's place on the Top 33 especially given the current dearth of downtown restaurants offering high-quality, high-end traditional Hungarian cookery at night. On a recent visit even a vegetarian friend was pleased.
