It's a little better than those crowded, tasteless cafes at Liszt Ferenc but only it has a better style or decor. It is ok for a glass of wine or a cafe, but avoid the kitchen!

went there recently, nagyon rossz, scheisse !!

specifics to my criticism:

Quality waitstaff have been replaced with indifferent and mopey waiters.

Prices have increased by 25% in the last year.

They dropped the seasonal menu with quite good regualr items to just a daily menu with less than special items.

Portions have decreased. Soups used to be a reason to go there now they are a reason to stay away. Smaller portions, more expensive, unispiring in taste and ingregients

Quality of food has decreased. They used to make an amazing omelet. Used to.

I get the impression after spending a year or so rebuilding the reputation of the place after the refurb they now want to "capitalize" on the reputations. Sadly they don't realize they are destroying it.

I recommend dropping Ket Szerecsen from the Top33

I always thought that service quality was a trademark oof the place but our last 2-3 visits were suprisingly pozitive with respect to service.

The food is as good as ever.

I'm typically amused by what most Budapesters regard as "bad service" because it's not bad, it's just not excellent. (as if the waiter needed to put on a show for them) While my server was quite good initially serving our drinks while we poured over the menu, he disappeared, and my group we were left wanting for food for a good 30 minutes. Disgusted at the inattentiveness of the other staff, I had to practically yell at the wooden manager that I wanted to pay the bill. We could have easily walked away from my bill and I don't think it would've mattered. I was so suprised that this place had a good reputation and good reviews here.

Glad to see this open again. Was in for tapas recently - excellent food, good service, nice price. Will be going back...

Stick it back on the top33! It is back, and it is bigger and better. Except for slightly inattentive service (could be still ironing out some little creases as it's just reopened), my meal was faultless. Excellent value for money.
