Notes: The museum was founded by the Budapest Electronic Works (ELMŰ) and the Hungarian Electrotechnology Association in 1975. Its building, a 30/10 kW transformer station, was designed by Emil Gerstenberger and Károly Árvé and built in 1934. Since 1982, it has been a national collection of artifacts related to electrotechnology and a center for research on the industry's history in Hungary.
