On warm nights a sea of people flows out of Godor and onto the grass and concrete of Deak Ter. It doesn't cost anything to walk down the steps to Godor, but they might check your bags for drinks. On cold nights you can go inside, where there's often some live music out of leftfield, like Electro-Gypsy or Hungarian Folk Ska. You'll probably have to pay, and unfortunately that's where to toilets are too. If you don't want to pay, you'll have to share the portaloos on Deak Ter with all the other BYO drinkers.

One of my favourites.

We arrived in budapest on a sunday and found alot of places were closed. Godor wasnt and we were pleased. The staff at the time were all great looking and spoke very good english. The choice of drinks were huge and reasonably prices. Mostly hungarians drinking there. There was nothing going on inside with most people sat outside in the warm night air. It seems like it would be a good place any night of the week.

Last time I went there I ordered an iced hosszú kávé and got a hot coffee thingy in a glass with a ton of whipping cream and a little tiny bit of cold milk - and then had to fumble my way though asking for additional ice, I still reccomend Godor. That's one pretty normal "service" story that could happen anywhere, what makes this place a BP mainstay is everything else. It's generally a great place to work, hang out or meet up with people, and their programs are excellent, always something good is happening at Godor, every day of the week, at (nearly) every hour.
