Ferenc Móra Museum
Móra Ferenc Múzeum6720 Szeged, Roosevelt tér 1-3
|
Notes: The musuem in the Southern Plain city of Szeged is named after writer and archeologist Ferenc Móra who led digs that unearthed much of what is on display at the museum. While the museum has a hearty collection of turn-of-the-century Hungarian paintings, and other displays on the natural and cultural history of the region, perhaps most interesting are its exhibitions of archeological findings tied to Hungary's earliest settlers, including the Avars, Sarmatians, Huns and Magyars.
