well overpriced and highly over-rated. A place for snobs to shop and feel good in their stupid minds.
you can get everthing in tesco, auchan, cora and even other european private owned stores in budapest or even web shops.

Dear Sissi

We do have Ben&Jerry's in stock - all retail flavors available Europe. Our two larger stores ( Perc utca and Balassi Bálint utca) have all on display. For more info on the ice creams please read the relevant English section on our website:

Hey.. can't read the homepage, so i have to ask here...
I read something about Ben&Jerrys a few posts ago, so i wanted to ask you, if you still have Ben&Jerrys in your store?
If yes, which flavour do you have?
I'm from austria.. so i only would come to budapest to buy some ice creme^^ and i don't want to drive the long way for nothing.

hope you can help me :)

Culinaris is a lifeline for me, even though the same freshly-squeezed orange juice I used to buy in France for 2€ costs here 6€. And they also stopped selling creme fraiche by the pot. I just hope that one day they will become more like Waitrose, so quality food will be honestly priced in Hungary, too. :)

Yeah, it is kind of expensive, but since you can't get most of the stuff anywhere else... At least it's all under one roof. The stuff I buy that Tesco has too is cheaper here. I've been going there since they opened and they've always been friendly and helpful. That's why I go back. You all know how service is in Hungary. Once they forgot to credit me for some milk bottles I brought back. I told them about it the next time I went, they took my word for it and credited me. And I like going back to see what's new.

Overprised, but some important things can't you find neither in Tesco nor in Cora. (E.g. fleur de sel, vanille extract, unhandled lemon, etc.)

Overprised. Overrated. You can find nearly everything at Cora or Tesco for 30 percent less.

I haven't been cheated at Culinaris, but the check out procedure leaves a lot to be desired. You never really know whether the items in the basket haven't been double charged. And yes, please train the staff to be less like Paddington Green coppers and more like food experts in a high end deli.

Re:Incident on July 28 at Culinaris Buda

We are apologizing for any mistake we cause, but there was no mistake in your receipt. We have not double charged you for any item and according to your wish we have not only checked the receipt in front of you, but rang the items again - resulting in the same amount.

Your husband kept repeating that he 'has the impression of being cheated' about half a dozen times even after we double checked your receipt and rang the same items again.

After this - according to your wish, have have taken back all items and refunded the whole pruchase.

Please let us know of any occasion when we have double charged you for any item and we will not only refund but give you credit for the same amount.

As for the security staff - they have been instructed to look less paranoid.

Best regards
