Best Restaurant in town wothout a doubt :)

I took my girlfriend to Costes for Friday night. I think it was very bad. I told the waiter I want to talk to the restaurant manager, and they embarass me infront my girlfriend. The waiters are very bad, and the food is disgusting. They make seem like its exclsuive and VIP, but it taste worse than microwave food.

Not as great as the Chew.hu review makes it sound. Just what you would expect in Hungary (average food, bad service), except more expensive.

funny because peter its me, it was me who wrote the review and not you! not quite sure what are you trying to do... anyway, wish you good luck... twat! dont know why but looking at the IP and way it has been written apart from the time and date, i have the sensation that "peter", anon and jon came all from the same computer...

Nevermind my previous review, I went again, and I must agree its totally bad.

The first time I was amazed by the presentation, possibly by the look of the restaurant. But on closer inspection it is just overpriced shit. The waiters are quite rude as well.

Just came home from eating here, the worst saturday night ever. I wish I wouldnt have made the mistake, of choosing this craphole on the basis of the Chew review. Avoid this place at all cost.

I went to this place with high hopes: an "exclusive", expensive restaurant that is supposed to deliver on both cuisine and service.

Service: Downright aweful, the staff is arrogant, insincere, and plain crass. I know that in Hungary, the service is generally bad, I could live with that even in an expensive place like this, but that overwhelming arrogance, and the air superiority that the waiters and the "maitre d" were broadcasting really managed to annoy me. You will notice that when you go (its kind of hard to explain)- basically they were just crass people who thought the world of themselves.

Food: They try to present it like its the fucking top cuisine in the world. I ate much better (even in Budapest).

Price: As "Greg" has already commented, the price would be fine if the restaurant would deliver. I am willing to pay larger sums in Britain for good food and service, a pleasant night out. But when the food was mediocre, the waiters took the piss out of you, and you feel bad; dishing out a few hundred pounds does not make you happy.

Overall, I would not recommend this, if you are looking for good food: dont go here. If you are looking for a pleasant place: dont go here. Just forget that Costes even exists.

Rude staff, way overpriced - which would be fine on its own, however the food is terrible.
