Excellent service and good food, if a bit overpriced. Overall a pleasant experience.

one of the most overrated restaurants in Budapest. This place is sort of like what Iguana is like to Mexican food in that it tastes decent and can be swallowed but not at all like what it's supposed to be while charging a premium for what it is. So all in all it's a terrible value proposition. I do believe that it's the best Thai in Budapest (just like Iguana is the best Mexican in Budapest) but that's only because the Thai and Mexican food here stink.
Appetizers were decent, as was the soup (almost authentic) but I assume they were joking when they described their main dishes as "Thai." Service was nice and I don't feel cheated but I'm definitely never going back - would rather go another two years without good Thai then stoop to this level and pretend I'm having the real deal.

I was extra disappointed to see that chew.hu gave this place a glowing review, especially since the reviewer claims to have been in Thailand. But then again, Asian foods are certainly chew's biggest weakness and should largely be ignored (e.g. their review of the atrocious Kyoto "sushi" restaurant).

@Sze, I'm glad you enjoyed and that you posted your experience about the "added" prawns. It's good to know that being really specific about your order is important. As I found, they didn't ask how spicy I wanted things and were generous with the chili. Thanks for your comment.

Went after reading the review in chew.hu. The pad-thai was indeed decent, and service was nice (e.g. when the waiter noticed I was sniffly he brought a plate of tissues over).

However, we didn't appreciate that they added an order of prawns to our pad-thai without asking us, charging us extra for it. It was good, and the addition to the bill wasn't that significant, but the main thing is that they didn't ask us. That left a bad taste to an otherwise positive experience.

We didn't make a fuss but paid and left. I would definitely be more vigilant about my pad-thai next time!
