We returned recently, having really enjoyed a meal there a year ago, and found it even improved on the previous high standard. The pork and cottage cheese noodles was one of the best main courses I've had the pleasure of eating. The wine was good, the service excellent and I was pleasantly suprised by the total. No service charge was added, local water supplied and there were no other typical annoyances. They've got this place very right. Excellent.

It is almost next door, so we went a couple of times.... Food is at best nothing special exept it's price. But you can be entertained by the owners family life on the terrace for your cash...

Our group of 5 found the food to be very good indeed. All dishes, meat and fish, got the thumbs-up. Our waiter was attentive and suggestions he made were spot on. Compliments to the chef and the staff.
They do now serve SzentKiraly water, which is a damn sight cheaper, although we did think that if we hadn't asked for it specifically the San Pelligrino would have made it into the branded glasses. An artifice like that has no place in restaurants of this caliber.

Hey, I used to love this place. GREAT food, good service and generally a lot of fun. I went there recently and found the place to be near empty and boring. That isn't a problem in it self but may suggest a downhill trend for the establishment. I even had the sense that the waiters were extremely bored with being there - I guess quality of service doesn't mean a bigger tip? The food was frankly not good. Both the Chick and I had lukewarm meals that were totally tastless. I had the fish which I wouldn't recommend. Why go to a place when I with my basic cooking skills can make a better meal??? I strongly suggest to the owners to get their act together to save one of the "former" better places on the Buda side. TL

This used to be a favourite but a couple of recent visit have shown this has gone downhill. A recent dinner with a friend: his 'salad' consisted of the dark green outer leaves of the lettuce only, and my Indonesian dish looked like overcooked goo. As the girlfriend remarked 'clearly the chef is not getting enough sex'. Avoid.

Based on our group's experience last night, avoid the fish. The meatier bits that everyone had were splendid, but the fish eaters (both of them) went away sorely disappointed: "overcooked and greasy" was the complaint. Also, watch the mineral water. For some reason, they don't offer a home-grown Magyar brand, and so our table ended up drinking 25+ USD of San Pellegrino. Oops.

A longtime staple of our Top 33 list of fine restaurants, this uptown (actually cross-town) sis of fifth district darling Café Kör offers more nouvelle-style fare, and an atmosphere that demands a certain level of dressing up. An impeccable choice for a high-end date or business get-together here a bit of buzz in the background is welcome. Boasts one of Budapest's better wine lists. Reservations crucial.
