Oil tanker sinking in Budapest

The oil tanker "Tatabánya" struck a support for Budapest's Lágymányosi Bridge and started sinking Tuesday morning, reports radio.hu.

 

According to uno.hu, the ship is carrying 3,000 liters of oil, which may leak into the Danube if it sinks. The six-member crew has started pumping out the water with the help of firefighters.

 

Police do not know of any injuries.
