Hungarian former judo wrestler Tamás Bujkó was brutally slain at a London metro station on March 21, media reports said on Sunday.

Scotland Yard did not confirm that the victim was Bujkó, but website judoinform.hu said Bujkó, who finished fifth at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, had been beaten to death with a hammer. A 36-year-old Hungarian man is the prime suspect. Bujkó won a silver medal at the 1983 Moscow World Judo Championships.

Meanwhile, Essex County police reported that a Hungarian had been killed in a fight in the small town of Harlow last week. A 27-year-old warehouse worker is suspected of the murder.

Two men who murdered Hungarian bus driver István Sipos in Glasgow last summer are expected to be sentenced on Tuesday.
